COVID-19 Crisis Help

Free Wills, Advanced Health Care Directives, and Durable Powers of Attorney for Medical Professionals and First Responders

Bowen Painter Trial Lawyers’ mission is to help people in need in our community. We normally do that by helping those who have been seriously injured, lost a loved one, or were hurt at their workplace. But these are not normal times, so we are temporarily expanding our practice to address the needs in our community brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Medical professionals and first responders are facing great hazards fighting this dangerous pandemic. Bowen Painter Trial Lawyers wants to offer them peace of mind by offering Free Wills, Advanced Health Care Directives, and Durable Powers of Attorney to any medical professional or first responder who would like one. We will also offer these items as a bundle to anyone else in our community for $250, or about half price of the normal fee.

  • Will — A legal document that provides instructions with what to do with your property after your death. It can also provide instructions as to your wishes for things like your funeral arrangements, etc.
  • Advanced Health Care Directive — Formerly known as a “living will,” it is a legal document that directs your healthcare wishes should you become incapacitated and identifies who you want to make decisions for you if you are unable.
  • Durable Power of Attorney — A legal document that gives someone legal authority to handle your finances, property, etc. if you become medically incapacitated.

All these documents are customized to your personal wishes and can greatly simplify decision-making for your loved ones during extremely difficult times. It also gives you the peace of mind that your wishes will be carried out as you want them to be. We pray that such planning due to this pandemic proves unnecessary in our community, but it is always wise to have these documents in place –pandemic or not.

All forms and consultations will be completed remotely. While executing the documents requires certain verification that is typically done in person, we have some options that will allow everyone to continue to practice safe social distancing.
