Georgia Legal Services, Savannah bar attorneys team in “Ask a Lawyer Day” on Friday

Six local attorneys will be at the Georgia Legal Services Program offices at 6602 Abercorn St. from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday to answer questions involving civil law only.

The attorneys, legal services attorneys along with members of the Savannah Bar Association, are part of the “Ask a Lawyer Day” program sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia General Practice and Trial Law Section, said Heidi Behnke, office manager at Georgia Legal Services.

Savannah personal injury attorney Paul Painter III is assisting from the private bar.

“They will be here to answer any questions on civil law only, anything from anybody,” Behnke said. She cautioned that Georgia Legal Services attorneys do not handle criminal law and the attorneys at the sessions will not take on any cases during the sessions.
